Description

In an intimate hall, filled with the breath of silence and anticipation, unfolds a musical evening titled “The Clarinet Celebration” — a tribute to an instrument that can be the voice of a human soul, the whisper of wind through autumn trees, and the fire of an Eastern dance. This concert is not merely a program, but a palette of sonic images in which the clarinet engages in a subtle and multifaceted dialogue with the violin, piano, and string quartet.

Here, music spans centuries — from the refined classics born in the golden age of Viennese salons, to the emotional depth of the 20th century, filled with mysticism, prayer, and bold rhythm. The sound ranges from lyrical confessions and transparent cantilenas to fiery dances, from delicate shades of intimacy to surges of passion and almost theatrical expression. It is an evening of contrasts and conversations, where each piece reveals a new face of the clarinet: at times lyrical and heartfelt, at others sharp and impetuous, or deeply hushed and contemplative.

The listener will encounter a musical landscape where tradition intertwines with innovation, where folk inflections meet refined compositional thought, and where the instrument becomes a mediator between eras, cultures, and souls. On this journey, the clarinet does not merely play — it breathes, it lives, it tells stories without words, leading the audience along and leaving a lingering aftertaste, like a subtle fragrance that cannot be held, yet cannot be forgotten.

“The Clarinet Celebration” is less a concert than a living narrative, in which music becomes a space of encounter: between composers and performers, past and present, the listener and their innermost self.

On stage — musicians of recognized artistry and refined sensibility.

Violinist Boris Brovtsyn, laureate of international competitions and recent winner of the London stage of the Classic Violin Olympus Competition. He appears on leading stages, collaborates with major orchestras, and for him, chamber music is nothing less than the breath of the soul.

Clarinetist Chen Halevi, an artist of international renown, has performed as a soloist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and numerous European ensembles, and is an active participant in chamber music festivals worldwide.

They are joined by four more outstanding performers: Anna Zigreich (violin), Tali Kravitz-Pereg (viola), Dafna Reichman-Poleg (cello), and Michael Zertsekel (piano). Together they form an ensemble that transforms the concert into a unified artistic fabric.
